Liner Plate, Mandrel, Eccentric Shaft and Bearing Bush Abrasion of Jaw Crusher

The fixed liner plate (tooth plate), movable liner plate (tooth plate), and the liner plate at both side are easy to be worn, making the particle size bigger after serious abrasion. At the initial stage of abrasion, the tooth plates can be reversed, or turn upside down. The jaw plate abrasion is mainly appeared in the middle-lower part, when the tooth height wears off 3/5, means it needs to replace the liner plate. When the side plates wear off 2/5, needs to replace the new one.

If the shaft abrasion is small, we can turning on the lathe to repair its geometry to make the journal reaching the correct geometry, and decrease the bearing inside diameter. But after several times of such treatment, if the journal is smaller than the original size by 5%, it is necessary to replace.

Because the jaw crusher works under impacting load, the service life of the Babbitt material liner of bearing bush is about 2 years. Exceeding the life time, need to recast.

If the abrasion appeared between eccentric shaft and bearing bush, as well as the mandrel and bearing bush, and the clearance is larger 1.5 times than the original fit gap, must adding pads or replacing; oil groove wears out 1.5mm, need to reset or regrind the groove.

When the Babbitt on the bearing bush has deep peeling or larger abrasion, should cast again. The processed bearing bush has the following quality requirements: the color on the Babbitt surface should be even and silver without shining. The surface layer should be free of crack, sand hole, shrinkage and back shell.
