Adjustment device can adjust discharge opening of jaw crusher. As tooth plate wear down, the size of discharge opening gradually increase, particle size get uneven. In order to obtain uniform particle size, regularly adjustment of discharge opening should be done by adjustment device. There are three kinds of adjustment methods:

(1) Shim adjustment.

Increasing or decreasing discharge opening by changing the number of shim. This method also apply compound adjustment but you must stop working when make adjustment. Large jaw crusher can apply this adjustment method to reduce the equipment weight and compact structure.

(2) With the help of relative movement of two wedges between thrust block plate and frame back wall, it can realize the adjustment of crusher discharge opening. Turn the nut ,move adjusting wedge up or down along frame back wall, drive wedge moving forward or backward, then push thrust plate or movable jaw plate to adjust discharge opening. This method apply stepless adjustment, which is convenient and time saving, also you don't need to stop crusher when make adjustment. But the crusher enlarges the size and gains more weight by using this adjustment, usually small and medium jaw crusher adopt this adjustment method.

(3) Hydraulic adjustment.

In recent years, hydraulic drive cylinder are used to adjust discharge opening of crusher.
