Operators must strengthen the lubricant working of mining equipment when equipment is in installation, reparation and use, which is very important for the coal mine safety production and complete production. If equipment lubrication is not proper, it will speed up the wear and tear of mining equipment, reduce its service life or even cause huge loss. In order to improve the production efficiency and prolong the service life of mining equipment, analyses of improper equipment lubrication are as follows:
1. Oil shortage
When equipment is in oil shortage, liquid friction will disappear thus it will increase mechanical wear, decrease equipment accuracy, even cause damage, scratch, seizure or other serious accidents.
2. Oil unclean
When the oil contains impurities, dirt and other material, it will damage the formation of oil film, often increase equipment wear and tear several times or even more faster (such as air compressor guide and cylinder, its wear and tear will speed up 8 ~ 10 times), and the presence of impurities also cause cutting effect like cutting wheel, increase the frictional resistance and power consumption, increase the wear of working face, which could cause serious accident.
3. Improper oil usage
If the equipment with high load and low speed use viscosity oil, due to withstand pressure, oil will leak out from the friction surface. If the equipment with small load and high speed use viscosity oil, the friction resistance increases, it will increase power consumption and high fever and cause an accident. For different equipment, operators should choose the appropriate lubricating oil (fat) according to the technical data provided by equipment manufacturers, ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
4. Improper oil filling
Filling more oil will cause overheat or oil leakage, less oil will increase abrasion of crusher for lack of lubrication.
5. Working situation
If we use bad water resistance lubrication grease in humid environment, the grease will emulsify quickly to loose efficacy, if we use the lubrication grease that can not endure high temperature in high temperature environment, the grease will melt. Different protective measures should be taken according to different environment， which not only protect the lubrication system but also protect the mechanical parts.
