As we all know, during the usage of jaw crusher, jaw plate is the most easily wear out component, Hence, how to prolong the service life of jaw plate is of great importance. We will discuss how to prolong the service life of jaw plate below:

 1.  During installation, jaw plate must be tightly fastened to the swing jaw. Between them, the space should be level up. We use soft iron spacer to fill in the gap between the jaw plate and swing jaw and tighten it by bolt. Jaw plate should not exist loosen phenomenon during operation, or else the jaw plate will be easily worn out and broken that may dramatically shorten the service life of the jaw plate. As a consequence, we must make sure the jaw plate has been installed properly to reach the aim of prolonging the service life of jaw plate. 

2. During production, the material contacts with the jaw plate directly, which generates great crushing force, especially for crushing material with high compression strength that may lead to the bolt and nut loosing of the jaw plate increasing the wearing of jaw plate that generates great noise. In some circumstances, the jaw plate may fall off or break and cause machine break down, influencing normal production. We need to solve specific problems according to specific situations to prevent worsening wearing, jaw plate loosing and breaking to prolong the jaw plate service life, lowering down the operation cost and improving the working capacity. 

3.  In design, the gear peaks should match with tooth spaces. Through this way, the crushing of material not only generates the force for squeezing, but also generates the force for bending and breaking that may easily break the material. In order to strengthen the service life of jaw plate, the design of medium and small size jaw crusher adopts symmetrical arrangement. When one side wears out, the user can turn it over and use the other side.
