Advantages and Disadvantages of Impact Crusher

In this text, Luoyang Dahua will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of impact crusher

Advantages:

1. Due to crush materials by using of kinetic energy, the energy absorbed by the materials is in direct proportion to the weight. Large aggregates absorb more energy, and the crushing degree is larger; small aggregates absorb less energy, and the crushing degree is accordingly small. The materials will be discharged until reach the required granularity. So, over crushing phenomenon is less, the product granularity is even. This kind of crushing machine is suitable for crushing brittle materials like limestone.

2. Normally, the impact resistance is less than the compressive strength, when the materials receive high speed and repeatedly impacting, they are broken along the joint interface and fragile part. So the machine can crush the material selectively.

3. Large crushing ratio. The crushing ratio of impact crusher is 20-50, or up to 150. It can simplify the crushing process, reduce the number of associated equipment, save foundation construction and equipment investment.

4. Low energy consumption. The unit energy consumption is 0.5-0.1 kw.h/t, which is smaller than the other crushing machine.

5. Simple structure, easy operation and maintenance.

Disadvantages

The biggest disadvantage of impact crusher is that the hammer plate and impacting plate are easy to be worn and adhere viscidity materials. Moreover, this kind of crushing machine has large noise and generates more dust and powder.
