13 Skills for Changing the Spare Parts of the Cone Crusher

Cone crusher is a common crushing equipment, which is used for crushing the medium and above medium hardness ore and rocks in the fields of metallurgy, construction, building roads, chemistry and silicate industry etc. It has the feature of large crushing ratio, high efficiency, low energy consumption, and uniform products granularity. Because of its good performance and powerful crushing ability, cone crusher is popular with more customers. 

Good maintenance and repair is more important for the further using of cone crusher. Today, experts from Luoyang Dahua will give you 13 skills for changing the spare parts.

(1) The stone must be spreaded in the centre of the cone crusher to avoid the overload of the crusher to make the liner wear no uniformly. Do not allow to feed ore directly into crusher cavity. 

(2) The max. feeding size should be no more than 85% of the feed opening, otherwise, it will lower the productivity, and damage the parts of cone crusher.

(3) Do not start the machine with load to prevent accident.

(4) Stop feeding first, after the ore inside crushing cavity is discharged stop machine.

(5) Often check the pressure of locking system and hydraulic station during machine running, find problems and dispose.

(6) Replacement of concave ring. Adjusting ring is fixed with U bolt in the concave ring, between them filled with zinc alloy to combine closely. Check the tightness of new replaced concave ring after machine running 6-8 hours, and fasten U bolt again.

(7) Replacement of mantle. Check the tightness of new replaced mantle after machine running 6-8 hours, and tighten it if loose.

(8) Gear engagement. The abrasion of plate affects the gear clearance. In order to make the gear rightly engaging each other, the spacer should be added in the base cover, which thickness is equal to the wear loss of plate.

(9) Bearings and seal device   

When installing the bearing, should note not make the steel wires damage the oil deflector ring. When assembled, the spherical bearing should scraping, ensure that the inner ring between the cone crusher and bowl-type spherical have a 0.35- 0.5 mm annular gap. Bowl bearing frame and the frame shall be fixed with key(pin). If found space in the bowl bearing frame and the frame, which must be processed immediately.

(10) The cylinder liner cooperated with the frame. 

In order to prevent the bushing rotation, should be injected the zinc alloy into grooves on the upper bushing, the new bushings should be replaced in accordance with the actual size of the frame.If the clearance is too large, the bushing fracture caused.

(11) Conical bushing.

Taper sleeve close connection with empty eccentric shaft, and added into zinc alloy to prevent the taper sleeve rotating, all clearance shall be filled with the zinc alloy; because the hot zinc alloy may cause deformation of the taper sleeve, should check the size when the new taper sleeve assembled, found incorrect shall be amended in time. The new spare parts should be produced according to actual size of the inner diameter of eccentric sleeve in order to keep the originals.

(12) Spring.  

Spring is used to protect the crusher from damage when the unbroken materials entered in to the crusher chamber, so the pressure of the spring should be suitable to the crushing force of crusher. The spring is fixed when the crusher is in normal work. The spring will lift the supporting sleeve and is compressed when the iron materials fall into the crushing chamber lead to overloading.
