The Advantages and Disadvantages for Gyratory Cone Crusher VS Jaw Crusher

Gyratory cone crusher is one kind of coarse crushing equipment, which has been widely used in mining, metallurgy, chemical concentrator. For example, they are mainly used for crushing limestone in the cement plant, also used for coarse crushing.

Compared with jaw crusher, gyratory cone crusher has some advantages:

(1) Because the crushing chamber is circular ring, the material blocks are not only squeezed effect but also bended effect, easily crushed, so the power consumption per unit product is low.

(2) The crushing process is continuous and no empty stroke, so the production capacity is more larger, under the condition of the same size inlet and outlet, 2-3 times higher than jaw crusher capacity; as far as energy consumption, per kilowatt hour capacity is 1.3-3.6 times higher than that of jaw crusher. Work is stable and no power load.

(3) Crushing ratio is more larger, can be up to 7 to 15, almost no sheet products and the product particle size is even. Lower cost of unit material crushing.

(4) No charger, input directly in any direction.

Compared with jaw crusher, gyratory cone crusher has some disadvantages:

(1) The complicated structure, the higher price, not easy to repair.

(2) When the same size materials are crushed, the quality and volume of the machine are bigger than that of jaw crusher, also more difficulties in transportation.

(3) More higher height increases the cost of the factory built-up.

(4) The sticky materials should not be crushed.
