The Worn Causes of Vertical Shaft Screw Thread for Cone Crusher

The vertical shaft thread often wear failure in the process of operation, which cause the movable plate loose, filling layer with zinc falls off, and directly effect the high efficient operation of crusher

Cone crusherhas features such as big crushing ratio, high efficiency, low power consumption, stable operation and suitable for crushing hard ore etc, and is widely applied. However, the vertical shaft thread often wear failure in the process of operation, which cause the movable plate loose, filling layer with zinc falls off, and directly effect the high efficient operation of crusher. In order to find the right solutions, this paper will analyze the worn causes of vertical shaft screw thread for cone crusher, as follows:

1. Distributor is impacted by the falling ore continually. In the process of crushing operations, the distributor is effected by impact force of falling ore continually and the crushing force in the process of crushing, with alternating load acting on the upper nut, to make the screw pair producing the relative motion between the upper nut and the upper thread of vertical shaft. 

2. The effect of processing installation error. Due to there are certain error in the process of installation, the contacting between the contact surface of each part is not completely surfacing contact, which cause the thread worn.

3. The effect of ore impacted and squeezed. In the process of crushing, due to the constantly impact and squeeze from the ore, to make the contacting of point or line worn soon, add the compression deformation of filling layer with zinc to form the clearance between the upper nut and the pressing sleeve, also causes the relative motion between the upper nut and the thread of vertical shaft during running, which cause the screw of vertical shaft worn.
