Factors on Affecting the Jaw Crusher Productivity

The productivity of jaw crusher is related to physical and mechanical properties, crushing ratio, engaging angle (the angle between fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate), movable jaw stroke and rotation speed of eccentric shaft

The productivity of jaw crusher is related to physical and mechanical properties, crushing ratio, engaging angle (the angle between fixed jaw plate and movable jaw plate), movable jaw stroke and rotation speed of eccentric shaft. Therefore, the above factor should be considered when calculate the crusher productivity.

Under the certain condition of materials and engaging angle, the rotation speed of eccentric shaft has influence on the productivity. In certain rang, the faster the rotation speed of eccentric shaft, the higher the crusher's productivity. If the rotation speed exceeds the limit value, the productivity will reduce on the contrary. The working process of jaw crusher is composed of two strokes, namely working stroke and return stroke. In working stroke, the materials are crushed by the jaw plate, in return stroke, the materials are discharged from the outlet, and should make sure be discharged clearly. If the rotation speed of eccentric shaft is too fast, the vibrating frequency of jaw plate becomes high, and the return stroke time becomes short accordingly, so the crushed materials can not be discharged timely, which will block the outlet and reduce the crusher's productivity. If the rotation speed of eccentric shaft is slow, the vibrating frequency will be decreased, the crushing times also becomes less, which will reduce the productivity.
